In 2016 a near fatal accident almost destroyed BJ Barbee’s mortal vessel. Being left physically broken allowed him time to revisit songs he had written years before while also compiling new material written from past memories and the fever dreams of the very present future.

What began as a solo endeavor eventually bacame a band, The Good Country Dark.
